Experience and Background

For more than fifteen years, I have been working with clients to help them overcome a variety of difficulties.  ​I began my career in 2008 when I joined Relate, the nationwide charity that provide relationship support in a number of different settings.  For nearly a decade I worked alongside individuals and couples providing relationship counselling.  I also worked as a group facilitator as we engaged with couples who were going through separation to help them better understand the impact of conflict upon their children and find more effective ways to navigate the challenges of separation and co-parenting.  I also worked as part of a team on a longer term project that supported couples and families where domestic abuse and violence had become a feature of the problems they were experiencing.  In 2017 I moved on from Relate to join a small private practice.  Later I joined a second local practice and you can now find me at either practice. The Dovecote is situated in Prettygate, Colchester and The Stockwell Centre is based in the town centre.  I also work from home.
